UEFA Champions League – Round of 16 Draw
The draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, held in Nyon, Switzerland, resulted in a fiery Madrid derby between Real Madrid and their rival Atlético Madrid, as well as an anticipated German Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Liverpool, the league stage leader, will face off against Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona will have a rematch against Benfica, following their thrilling 5-4 victory over the Portuguese team in the group stage.
The rest of the Round of 16 matchups are as follows:
- Aston Villa vs. Club Brugge
- Borussia Dortmund vs. Lille
- Arsenal vs. PSV Eindhoven
- Inter Milan vs. Feyenoord
The first-leg matches of the Round of 16 will take place on March 4 and 5, while the return legs will be played on March 11 and 12.
Notably, several big clubs have already exited the competition early this season, including Manchester City, AC Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta.
