Al-Sudani Affirms Continued Efforts to Distribute 500,000 Housing Units in Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, that his government is working on distributing 500,000 housing units across Iraq.

In his speech during the launch of the executive works for 10,000 residential land plots, followed by “Al-Saa” Network, Al-Sudani stated:
“The government program has outlined the distribution of 500,000 housing units, and efforts are ongoing to achieve this. The delay was due to administrative procedures.”

He added that “the housing crisis has been placed at the top of the government’s priorities, as cities have become overcrowded with housing units due to misguided policies for addressing the crisis.”

He further stated that “these new projects at this site will completely resolve the housing crisis and will provide various options for citizens of all economic levels.”

Al-Sudani pointed out that “the government has adopted an approach to provide housing for citizens based on their social categories and financial capabilities.”

He emphasized that “work will continue on housing projects in Baghdad and other provinces, with a project set to be completed and inaugurated after adopting the real estate developer mechanism and providing the necessary services.”
